Frequently Asked Questions
What is the correct way to use kindling to start a fire?
Layer Purefire lighter cubes or scrunched natural paper at the base. Build a small pyramid of Bad Axe Kindling over it. Light the tinder, allow the kindling to catch fully, then gradually add small logs before moving to full-size firewood. This method ensures a clean, successful fire start every time.
Can I use kindling in a pizza oven?
Yes — kindling is essential for starting a pizza oven fire. Begin with kindling and a lighter cube, allow the kindling to create a strong flame bed, then add small hardwood splits to build to cooking temperature.
How should I store kindling in the UAE?
Store in a dry, ventilated indoor space — a garage, shed, or under a covered area. Moisture is kindling's enemy: damp kindling will not light easily and produces excessive smoke.
How much kindling do I need per fire session?
A good handful of kindling sticks (8–12 pieces) is typically sufficient to get a firepit fire properly started. For larger firepits, use slightly more to create a wider, more robust base fire.
