Frequently Asked Questions
What does Olive firewood smell like when burning?
Burning Olive wood produces a rich, warm, slightly herbal aroma unique among firewood species. It's particularly prized in Mediterranean countries and has a character that complements outdoor dining perfectly — it enhances the atmosphere of an outdoor evening without being overpowering.
Is Olive a good cooking wood?
Yes — Olive produces high heat and good coals for open-fire cooking. Its aromatic smoke can subtly flavour grilled meats and fish, which many outdoor chefs consider a bonus. Use it for grilling or as an aromatic companion to a main cooking fire.
Is Olive firewood available year-round in the UAE?
Availability can vary seasonally. We recommend ordering in advance for planned events. Check current stock at ehdxb.ae or contact Elite Horizon for availability updates.
Can I mix Olive firewood with other types?
Absolutely — many UAE outdoor enthusiasts mix Olive with Oak or Beech for the ideal combination of long burn, intense heat, and beautiful aroma. Add Olive logs once the fire is established for best aromatic effect.
