Frequently Asked Questions
How does a wood-fired pizza oven work?
Wood is burned inside the oven chamber, heating the internal stone floor and walls to high temperatures. Once at cooking heat, you push the fire to one side and use the stone floor to cook your pizza. The retained heat in the stone cooks the base while the high dome temperature cooks the top simultaneously.
What firewood should I use in this pizza oven?
Use dry hardwood only — Bad Axe Beech or Oak firewood is ideal. Avoid softwoods, damp wood, or treated timber. Small, split logs ignite faster and produce less smoke in the enclosed oven chamber.
How do I clean the pizza oven after use?
Allow to cool fully. Brush out ash with an oven brush. The stone floor self-cleans with heat over multiple uses. Wipe the exterior steel with a dry cloth. Never use water on a hot oven.
