Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to season an enamel-lined cast iron skillet?
No — the enamel lining eliminates the need for the traditional cast iron seasoning process. The enamel provides a smooth, inert cooking surface from the first use. Simply rinse with warm water and mild soap.
Is cast iron suitable for outdoor cooking in the UAE?
Absolutely — cast iron is one of the best materials for outdoor and campfire cooking. It handles extreme heat, distributes evenly, and is virtually indestructible. It works perfectly over a Barebones Cowboy Grill or Bad Axe firepit.
How do I prevent the enamel from chipping?
Avoid thermal shock (plunging a hot pan into cold water), use wooden or silicone utensils rather than metal, and hand wash rather than dishwashing. With proper care, Barebones enamel cast iron lasts a lifetime.
Where can I buy Barebones cast iron cookware in the UAE?
Available exclusively at Elite Horizon (ehdxb.ae), delivering across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and all UAE emirates.
