Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Kuksa cup?
The Kuksa is a traditional Scandinavian outdoor drinking cup — typically carved from a birch burl, though modern versions use various hardwoods. It is used by hikers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts for drinking directly from streams (historically) or for enjoying hot and cold outdoor beverages. The Barebones Kuksa brings this Nordic tradition to UAE outdoor culture.
Can I drink hot coffee from a Kuksa cup?
Yes — the Kuksa is designed for both hot and cold outdoor beverages. The thick wooden walls provide natural insulation, keeping drinks warm longer than a metal cup. Season the interior with food-safe oil before first use for the best experience.
