Frequently Asked Questions
How does a plasma arc lighter work?
A plasma arc lighter uses electrical energy to create a high-temperature plasma arc between two electrodes — no combustion, no flame. This arc is hot enough to ignite paper, wood, candle wicks, and kindling on contact. Because it is not a flame, wind cannot extinguish it — making it the most reliable lighter for UAE outdoor conditions.
How long does the Pivot Arc Lighter last on a single charge?
Most arc lighters provide 100–150 arc activations per charge. For typical outdoor camping and fire lighting use on a UAE trip, a single charge is sufficient for several days of regular use.
