Frequently Asked Questions
How much heat does the suede leather hot pad protect against?
The suede hot pad provides protection for handling cast iron and enamelware at cooking temperatures — hot pan removal, setting hot pots on a table surface, and short contact with hot cookware handles. It is not designed for sustained contact with extremely hot surfaces like the inside of an oven. For campfire use, always check the pad is fully in place before gripping hot cookware.
