Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use soap with the stainless steel scrubber on cast iron?
For raw cast iron, soap is generally avoided as it can strip seasoning. The stainless steel scrubber works best with hot water only on cast iron — the mesh removes food particles without the need for detergent. For enamel-lined cast iron, mild soap with the scrubber is acceptable as the enamel protects the underlying metal.
